Next Steps: Apply for Disability, Find a Practitioner, Get Organized

Eric is taking LOADS of supplements and is off the original antibiotics for Lyme. This seemed to make him tired, not better. In order to gain weight, he is now drinking protein shakes between meals (with ice cream!), and to help with his muscles started taking amino acids. He has received cranial sacral a few times now and each time feels really good - can feel it in his spine and head. Another friend offered him physical therapy and he has been working on strengthening his legs, stomach (he hunches often as he has lost core strength), and arms.

Tomorrow I will meet with a woman (a mother of one of my twins' friends) who will help us get the process going for disability. On Friday, we will go to the ALS clinic for further testing.

We have been SO GRATEFUL for the many donations and as we are concerned that this may have been an initial wave of support, and the prognosis is still so uncertain, I have little by little increased the goal so we can proceed with the care Eric needs and maintain the basics of day to day living until (if) disability kicks in.

Our next step - as we see it - is to find and work with a holistic doctor. We have collected some names and are checking them out.

I am about to create a "Plan of Action" and "Needs" list to bring clarity.

If you have already donated, or cannot donate financially, one thing that would be VERY HELPFUL is to not only SHARE our GoFundMe campaign, but to add a few words to your post to make it more personal.

Hugs and Love!
